Marijke's Books Arrive! (Video)
People who know me already know I'm a bit on the odd side, so they shouldn't be surprised to learn that I video-ed (is that a word?) the arrival of my first copies of the book Fits, Starts & Matters of the Heart. So - on with the show!
Autographs available on request! I actually have a box arriving within a couple of weeks so I'll have some on hand to sell directly, rather than people having to order online.
Congrats! Celebrate and enjoy ... this is sure to be only the first of many times your name will folow "written by" on a published book. I guess you're not a virgin anymore;-)))) Please sign one of your extra copies and set it aside for me ... Mike and I are coming for New Year's and I'll invite myself over for a visit and pick it up then. WooHoo, Patti
speaking from my own experience, what is really exiting is when you go into a major book store and discover the anthology with your piece is prominetly positioned on a display table. getting the book in the mail seems a bit anti-climactic. but if opening a package excites you, then go for it.
Uh, ok, Anonymous - I guess it's easy to hide behind that. If you meant to try to take the wind out of my sails, you failed. I believe receiving the first copy of the book is exciting and I'll be just as excited when I see it in a bookstore.
Oh Marijke you took the words out of my mouth to anonymous - This is just one of many exciting steps in the process and I am happy you shared your unveiling with us. Congrats. Trudy
Marijke: Print-on-demand and downloaded books are what publishing is all about now and we are on the cutting edge of that. Plus...unlike "anonymous" (another name for someone without the courage of their convictions to state who they are)...we know how to spell correctly!
You're such a hoot, Marijke! When is the autograph session?

ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! Next step is to arrange a book reading session on your blog :-)

ReplyDeleteEXCITING! A first look at every new book is always worth celebrating and something most people don't ever get to do in any form.
ReplyDeleteOf course being the kind of person that can associate their name with their thoughts and action without embarrassment carries its own rewards...
Congratulations, Marijke! (On both counts)
lol - I just caught the "And now you know how to say my name on top of everything else" :D
